Play nowPixcess is an estimation game in your browser. You get questions nobody knows by heart, for example how often a person blinks in a day. With two or three everyday assumptions you can still get surprisingly close. After every question Pix, the mascot, explains in one line why the answer is what it is, and shows the working with its source.
There are no rounds and no single daily question for everyone. You play as long as you like, and no question ever comes up twice for you.
You type a number and have 60 seconds. What counts is not the distance but the factor: guessing twice as high or half as high as the answer is equally far off. A bullseye earns 100 points, a guess off by a factor of ten earns 0. Pix can give you an anchor as a hint, which costs a quarter of the points.
You are looking for a person, a game, a country or a city. A new clue appears every five seconds, from vague to obvious. The earlier you solve it, the more points: 100 on the first clue, fewer after that. A wrong name costs 10 points.
This is about the future: who wins the league, where a stock index ends the year, will there be snow at Christmas? Your tip is saved with the date. You get points when the question is resolved. Forecasts are played for game points only, never for money.
Your profile shows two numbers: your average, meaning how well you estimate, and your total points, meaning how much you have played. The average is the one that matters more.
After ten questions you are placed. There are eight ranks with three divisions each. Your rank follows a rating that tracks your average and counts more the more questions you have played, so a few lucky hits do not earn a high rank.

After every question you can share your result as an image. It never shows the answer. Whoever opens your link gets the same question and then sees who estimated better.
